I was in such a writing rut last week. I had two stories to write for UWire Youth Vote '08 that I just couldn't get done and it was ridiculous- I was like hysterical because it can be so frustrating when you get stuck on something that shouldn't be a problem for you.
So then I went on a retreat all weekend and took a long break from work.
And today, I just managed to finish up both stories and send them off in less than two hours! Yay!
So moral of the story is- when you're stuck in a writing rut, you're probably just stressed. Breaks are good!
